SEPA Payments Architect

Skills required

• Solution design – deliver fit for purpose and effective designs

• Advanced knowledge and broad experience working on payment systems on software, infrastructure and integration architectures

• Payments architecture – functional and technical knowledge including industry practices and regulations

• Advanced knowledge on clearing, settlement, financial systems and payment instruments and payment lifecycles within the financial industry

• Understanding of various payment types – specializations per types will be considered (international vs domestic or high care vs low care for example).Ideally across payment types and mechanisms

• Design end-to-end payment solutions to meet business needs – solution design experience

• Strong communication skills

• Presentation skills

• Experience and knowledge working on large-scale projects to be able to provide inputs to:

• Project planning

• Business requirement documents

• Architecture summary documents

• Information security inputs

• Functional -and non-functional designs

• Vendor/suppliers technical briefs

• Application technical design on cloud infrastructure (hybrid cloud AWS, Mulesoft, JBOSS, Client, Containerization, future state Postgress & Mongo, Node JS and Kafka)

• Security requirements input

• Logical design input, guidance and review

• Non-functional requirements determination, input, review

• Experience and skills to create, socialize, drive and present:

• Architecture Review Board packs

• Conceptual designs

• ISO 20022 specific:

• Participate in building out channel payment services working closely with the API factory solution architects

• Participate in building out channel payment services working closely with the channel solution architects

• SEPA Payments Scheme and GPP SP specific:

• SEPA payments regulations

• GPPSP (Finastra payment solutions which are ex GPP/Global Payplus, D+H payment engines experience/exposure in a solution design context
