Role Overview

• Design and implement Snowflake-based data platform using Medallion Architecture

• Work on HL7, DICOM, and SQL Server data pipelines

• Key Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and analyze existing HL7 → SQL Server → ETL workflows

• Design Bronze, Silver, Gold layers in Snowflake

• Build data ingestion pipelines for HL7 messages (ADT, ORM, ORU)

• Parse and map HL7 data into structured relational models

• Perform data transformation, cleansing, and normalization

• Reverse engineer SQL Server databases (tables, SPs, jobs, dependencies)

• Migrate ETL and batch jobs to Snowflake (Tasks/Streams/ADF/Airflow)

• Develop data models (fact & dimension tables) for analytics

• Ensure data quality, lineage, and governance

• Implement scheduling, monitoring, and performance optimization

• Required Skills

• Strong experience in Snowflake (Medallion Architecture)

• Expertise in SQL Server (Schema, SPs, Jobs, Performance tuning)

• Knowledge of HL7 data structures & healthcare workflows

• Experience in ETL/ELT tools (ADF, Airflow, etc.)

• Data modeling (Dimensional / Star Schema)

• Handling semi-structured data (JSON/VARIANT)

• Good to Have

• DICOM data exposure

• Real-time streaming (Kafka/Event Hub)

• Healthcare domain experience

• Data governance & security (HIPAA awareness)
