About the role
Purpose : The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Work with business and IT groups to analyse, design and implement data and information solutions that are consistent with enterprise architectural standards.
Ensure solution designs address performance requirements and reusability, availability or recovery, integrity and security challenges, as well as business functional requirements
Participate in the E2E lifecycle of a project and guide the teams as required
Operate the big data platform and continuously seeking opportunities to improve the data usability and quality
Ensure appropriate governance exists ensuring that appropriate regulatory, compliance, security and architecture controls are effectively maintained.
Work with application teams and architect to design and develop high performing databases and maintain consistent data element definitions.
Work with application teams and data scientist to ensure completed and quality user behavior data are collected.
Perform research and feasibility studies to identify and evaluate data tooling/solutions for the business.

Have a high level business understanding of, and the implications of Data adoption for:
Digital Wallets & payment solutions
Retail Banking & Wealth Management
Commercial Banking
Able to translate business needs into appropriate IT Data solutions.
Technical
Have a system engineering background and the ability to compare and contrast different solutions to meet a business requirement. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills – desire to solve complex problems at scale. Possess in-depth knowledge on the following area:
Cloud Data Solutions (Azure / AWS)
Machine Learning and AI
Data Integration (Batch & Streaming)
SQL & Python programming languages
Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
Have conceptual functional and non-functional knowledge of:
Apache Spark– Databricks (preferred)
Data Visualization Systems (Tableau)
Re-usable and repeatable data pipelines, ETL, complex job orchestration – Azure Data Factory, Air Flow etc.
Machine Learning, MLOps, open source machine learning lifecycle management (MLFlow, Seldon Core, Kubeflow)
Recommender systems
Database systems (SQL and NoSQL)
Deploying complex data applications on the cloud (Azure Devops, Jenkins)
Additional Key skills :
Candidates will also need to demonstrate:
A track record of delivering and operating big data & AI platform
Ability to gather business requirements, perform analysis and establish or recommend a data integration architecture.
Superior in relationship management, consultative, presentation, and communications skills
Experience of working in a large team of staff dealing with local or overseas parties and offshore development resource would be ideal. Willing to travel overseas occasionally if required.
Fluent in written and spoken English, with strong interpersonal and effective communication skills to deal with people of different levels, functions and geographic locations.
