SQL Engineer

Role: SQL Engineer

Type : TP for 6 months and extendable

Location : Amstelveen, Netherlands

Language : Dutch preferred

YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide MS SQL administration, automation and technical support for MS SQL on-premise environment

Schedule, plan and perform system upgrades including testing, rollback procedures and risk analysis

Manage database objects like user, table, Index, roles, privileges, profiles, DB Links, materialized views, partitioning, synonyms, sequences, views and indexes and other database objects etc

Create physical/logical standby database and performing switch-over and fail-over

Communicate issues and recommendations back to the leadership in clear, concise manner

REQUIRED Technical And Professional Expertise

Basic knowledge of Azure cloud concepts.

Extensive knowledge of Azure SQL database services

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2017+)

Ensure high availability, Windows Clustering

Data Migration

Database provisioning and configuration

Data Modelling Techniques

Exception and Error Handling

Backup and recovery inclusive disaster data management

User, group management

Performance tuning and optimization

Database monitoring

BI (AS, IS, RS) services provisioning and configuration

PREFERRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED EXPERTISE

HBO-level education

Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator (DP-300)

Additional skills: (nice to have)

DP-203, Data Engineering on Microsoft Azure

Knowledge of Service Now or equivalent product

Business Level English with Dutch as extra language preferred

ITIL4

Communication Language, Dutch and English
