Sr. DevOps Engineer

2.1. Nature of the tasks

Non-exhaustive list of the tasks to be carried out:

o Architecture and design of information systems hosted on the cloud o Review of code and architecture of existing systems o Design of architecture components and building blocks o Documentation and presentation of lessons learned from different cloud services and architectural patterns to technical teams in the Euopean institutionsr. o Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users o (Heavily Automated) Setting up cloud account security. o Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting

2.2. Knowledge and skills

Excellent knowledge of:

o Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design o Very good knowledge of at least one cloud service, AWS or Azure, including their infrastructure-as-code technology (CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager templates). o Very good knowledge of at least one strongly-typed object oriented language (ex java, c#) o Good knowledge of security oriented cloud services, including Azure Security Center or equivalent. o Good knowledge of application monitoring on the cloud, including Azure Application Insights or equivalent. o Knowledge of micro services architecture design, development, deployment and instrumentation o Knowledge of applications design o Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. message oriented middleware, Event Hubs or similar) o Knowledge of both relational and non-relational data stores o Knowledge of infrastructure as code o Ability to give technical presentations o Ability to apply high quality standards o Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment.

The following skills are desired: o Good redaction skills

Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the, candidates should also have the following skills:

o Ability to participate in multilingual meetings

o Ability to understand, speak and write English and basic French

o Ability to work in a team

o Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on a large project

2.3. Education and Experience

o Minimum 5 years of relevant studies after the secondary school (2 years of professional experience can compensate 1 year of study)
