Job description

Responsible for implementation and delivery of all Enterprise Storage and SAN fabric solution architecture, and support for Lincoln Financial Group Enterprise Storage Services and Delivery organization and all related storage and SAN infrastructure. This includes the storage and SAN services at multiple data centers.

Responsible for implementing and operating Lincoln Enterprise storage and SAN technologies and infrastructure including the management and instrumentation platforms. Identifies storage and SAN infrastructure enhancements that will improve the business processes and overall technical capabilities, stability and performance

Responsible for partnering with infrastructure peers, information security and business partners in the delivery of the storage and SAN solutions and environments. Leverages NetApp, Brocade, Cisco UCS, and supporting platforms to support proactive storage service delivery and management.

Responsible for implementation and operation of the enterprise storage infrastructure and services including; SAN, NAS, NFS, CIFS, UCS in virtual and physical configurations. Implementation and operation of storage instrumentation platforms including; hardware appliances and software products, or tools, leveraged in the future.

Create and deliver technical and professional documentation, diagrams, and necessary material and demonstrate the ability to multi-task and switch between project management and daily systems support requests. Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues associated with storage and SAN infrastructure

The candidate will work with various internal groups and customers to troubleshoot issues, isolate problems, optimization, and provide resolution(s) in accordance with the corporate change management process. Provide accurate and timely root cause analysis of all storage issues and participate in SWAT activities on an as needed basis

Remains current in profession and industry trends.

Identifies and delivers positive contributions to the team by: - Making suggestions for improvement – learning new skills, procedures and processes.

Develops and implements DevOps platforms (GitLab, Puppet Enterprise, Ansible) supporting infrastructure and development partners for on-prem and cloud.

Take escalation calls for storage and SAN support issues as needed including afterhours support calls as part of the departmental on-call rotation support schedule.

Work directly with the internal help desk, other IT and business support teams, as well as customers to validate, confirm and assess storage and SAN infrastructure requirements. Responsible for and accountable to follow support procedures and escalation guidelines.

Adhere to all corporate and departmental security and audit compliance activities. Carries out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines. Complies with all company and site policies and procedures

Participates in research, design, architecture and implementation of the enterprise cloud services supporting related Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and managed platforms (PaaS).

Provides direction and guidance for the design, architecture, implementation and security of business-critical infrastructure platforms that host LFG applications on-prem and cloud.

Performs other duties as required.

Job requirement

Must have applicable Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or have 5+ years of equivalent work experience in comparable technical leadership position(s) in lieu of Bachelors It is required for a minimum 5+ years of experience in a Technical Lead position with strong cross organizational delivery experience developed working in large scale enterprise storage and SAN environments.

Extensive knowledge and recent work experience in troubleshooting, implementing and supporting enterprise storage, SAN, storage management and security related technologies and platforms is required

5–7+ Years experience in system design/architecture that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position. (Required)

1-2 + Years experience AWS cloud services, automation, scripting (Python, Powershell) - (Preferred)

5+ years of experience in an enterprise storage and SAN, complex design, implementation and troubleshooting analytics.

Storage provisioning to Unix, Linux, Windows for physical and virtual platforms
