Test Manager

Under the direct supervision of the Project Manager, and in close collaboration with the Division of Information Systems & Telecommunications (DIST) and the Global Data Service (GDS), the Test Lead will oversee and coordinate the testing activities associated with the migration to Azure for the proGres application.

S/he will also support appropriate communication on technical issues among test team members and stakeholders as necessary.

will:

• Define a testing strategy, ensuring the appropriate planning and management of the test resources are allocated appropriately with clear

milestones

• Identify testing team composition (test case writers, testers, etc..) with appropriate skills- recognizing potential training requirements and

assigning tasks to test team resources

• Organize test scenario sessions to ensure that all positive and negative test scenarios are in test plan scope

• Coordinate the infrastructure requirements for the testing framework

• Check / review the test cases and their associated items, including test data

• Ensure that all testing documents / artifacts are documented and maintained in the repository defined by the project (DevOps)

• Implement, monitor, and enforce all processes for testing as per standards defined by the project

Organize status meetings and communicate metrics, test results, and defects to all stakeholders

• Act as the primary conduit between development team and test team

• Prepare a project closure report on testing

Experience

Ideally the candidate should have practical experience, familiarity and/or knowledge with:

• aspects of the software development life cycle process

• experience in software testing efforts, techniques, and tools

• demonstrated excellent people skills, especially diplomacy and advocacy

skills

• planning and management skills

• testing and analysis skills

• good understanding of business processes and case management related user

• stories and business requirements

• exposure to systems testing platforms such as TFS or DEVOPS
