About the role
Title: UFT Automation Architect
Location: New York, NY 10003
Duration: 6 months
Detailed Job Description:
Define and drive the OMS (Outage Management System) automation testing strategy aligned with project goals.
Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and reusable utilities.
Identify and prioritize automation candidates to maximize test coverage and ROI.
Lead automation script development, execution, debugging, and maintenance activities.
Review automation code, enforce coding standards, and ensure best practices are followed.
Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines and support continuous testing.
Manage source code repositories using GitHub, including branching, pull requests, code reviews, and merge strategies.
Maintain GitHub Actions workflows for automated build, test execution, and deployment processes.
Ensure version control best practices, code quality standards, and seamless collaboration across development and QA teams.
Coordinate with Business Analysts, Developers, QA Leads, and SMEs to understand requirements and automation scope.
Manage test data, test environments, and execution schedules for automation runs.
Track and report automation metrics such as coverage, execution status, pass/fail rates, and defect trends.
Analyze failures, perform root cause analysis, and drive defect resolution with development teams.
Mentor automation engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.
Estimate automation effort, plan releases, and ensure timely delivery of automation milestones.
Drive innovation through framework improvements, AI-assisted testing, and process automation initiatives.
Support SIT, UAT, Regression, and Production Validation testing activities.
