Unix Admin

Minimum 5+ years of experience in supporting and managing Unix operating system & infrastructure in an enterprise environment

Experience in a 24X7 environment with thorough knowledge of Unix operating system

Experience with installation/upgrading/configuring and troubleshooting OS

Strong knowledge and experience in Unix OS Internals, Shell/Bash scripting, Virtualization Technologies (ESXi)

Strong knowledge on server hardware (Client/DELL/Lenovo/IBM), Chassis & blade configuration.

Reporting and Presentation skills – especially with regard to summarizing complicated technical issues and using MS-Excel efficiently

Identify automation opportunities in current delivery and should be able to utilize scripting knowledge to automate repetitive tasks

Basic installation and configuration knowledge of Databases Sybase/Oracle/PostgreSQL

Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and a high degree of credibility are imperative
