About the role
Role Summary The candidate will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Engineering department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement. The role is not for construction company. It is only for design engineering department. Key Responsibilities Independently handling design projects for new development and improvement of existing products. Creating concept design, 3D models, assemblies & 2D drawings as per requirement. Applying GD&T, tolerance stack-up, fits, welding symbols as per applicable standards. Performing engineering calculations (strength / load / power / life etc.) for designvalidation. Preparing BOM, technical documentation, DFMEA and feasibility evaluation reports. Coordinating with Production / Purchase / QA / Vendors for prototype development & design implementation. Conducting design reviews, design verification & testing support on prototypes. Ensuring cost optimization, manufacturability and ease of assembly in design. Supporting in resolving design issues from production, vendor or customer feedback. Maintaining and updating engineering records, drawings and change control documentation. Suggesting Improvements in design standards, templates, and design guidelines. Eligibility & Requirements 5 to 10 years of experience in the domain of power transmission products (Bearings,Gears and Gearbox, Pulley, Material handling equipments, clutch, brakes, others-pumps, Compressors, etc.) Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field Strong proficiency in CAD tools. Practical knowledge of GD&T and ASME / ISO drafting standards. Excellent proficiency in SolidWorks / Creo / Fusion 360 (3D + 2D). Hands-on experience in BOM creation, ECO management and ERP usage. Strong understanding of mechanical components & mechanisms. Practical experience in engineering calculations & design validation. Ability to interpret customer standards / specifications / application requirements. High level of accuracy, detailing and drafting quality. Ability to work independently with full responsibility of design output Good communication and cross-functional coordination. Time management and ability to handle multiple design tasks in parallel. Analytic thinking, problem solving and decision making. Proactive, positive and ownership attitude. Good reporting, documentation & presentation skills.
