Problem Analyst

As a (Senior) Problem Analyst at Eurofins Scientific, you will play a crucial role in driving root cause analysis (RCA) across software and infrastructure layers to ensure the resilience of critical IT solutions supporting daily business operations. Operating in a high-pressure environment, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and eliminate recurring issues. Key Responsibilities: - Own the end-to-end problem management lifecycle, including identification, investigation, RCA, resolution, and closure. - Act as a coordinator across application, infrastructure, and third-party teams when necessary. - Ensure adherence to ITIL Problem Management process. - Perform deep-dive analysis on recurring or critical incidents using structured methods such as 5 Whys, Ishikawa (Fishbone), or Fault Tree Analysis. - Produce clear RCA reports with actionable remediation plans. - Identify systemic weaknesses and drive permanent fixes. - Monitor incidents trends to detect patterns and systemic risks. - Proactively initiate problem records based on data analysis. - Provide clear, concise communication to IT leadership, Business stakeholders, and Operations teams. - Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and internal SLAs/OLAs. - Contribute to runbooks/playbooks for incident handling. - Mentor junior analysts and support organizational maturity. Required Skills & Experience: - 510+ years in Incident/Problem Management and Production/Application Support. - Experience handling/contributing to major incidents in complex environments. - Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud environments (Azure), databases (SQL), APIs, and integration layers. - Ability to analyze logs and monitoring dashboards. - Strong knowledge of ITIL and experience with tools like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, and Jira Service Management. - Experience implementing RCA best practices. - Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills. - Proactive mindset with a bias for action and ownership.
