Job Title: Project Engineer Lighting Control Systems Department: BA (Building Automation ) Location: Base location Mumbai Salary: 3 to 7 LPA Job Summary The Project Engineer Lighting Control Systems is responsible for overseeing the technical design, execution of smart lighting control networks. This role bridges the gap between design intent and on-site deployment, ensuring systems are delivered on schedule, within budget, and compliant with relevant energy codes and electrical standards. Key Responsibilities 1. System Design & Technical Review Review client specifications, reflected ceiling plans (RCPs), electrical risers, and wiring diagrams to define control intents.Develop detailed system architecture diagrams, panel schedules, control schematics, and device layout drawings using AutoCAD or Bluebeam.Select appropriate hardware components including panels, dimming modules, sensors, gateways, and user keypads.Map lighting loads to appropriate dimming protocols like DALI, DALI-2, 0-10V, DMX, phase dimming, and BACnet.2. Project Coordination & Execution Serve as the primary technical point of contact between the project team, MEP consultants, electrical contractors, and AV/BMS integration teams.Manage project timelines, materials tracking, and delivery milestones for all control hardware.Monitor on-site installation work to ensure electrical contractors strictly follow submittals and wiring guidelines.Resolve complex on-site technical issues, design changes, and spatial constraints seamlessly.3. Handover & Compliance Generate formal handover documentation including As-Built drawings, programming backups, and system operation manuals.Ensure all installations adhere strictly to local energy codes (e.g., NEC, ASHRAE, IES) and safety regulations. Required Skills & Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related domain.2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in project execution, specifically involving commercial or architectural lighting controls.Technical Proficiencies Strong fluency with design software like AutoCAD and Bluebeam.Practical familiarity with top-tier control platforms (e.g., Lutron, Dynalite, Helvar, Crestron, Schneider Electric).Deep functional understanding of network physical layers and protocols (DALI, DMX512, KNX, Modbus, TCP/IP).Ability to troubleshoot complex field wiring loops and network data drops using standard test meters.Soft Skills Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical ideas clearly.Proven capability to manage multiple active project sites under rigid deadlines.
