About the role
Job Title: Test Automation Engineer (Katalon) Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Katalon Studio for both web and API testing. Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate test automation into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines. Execute automated tests and provide detailed analysis of results, logging defects, and working with the team to resolve issues. Collaborate with Agile teams in the creation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria. Review requirements, design specifications, and functional documentation to ensure testability. Investigate and troubleshoot test failures, identifying root causes, and proposing solutions. Contribute to the improvement of test automation practices and tools. Provide insights and recommendations on how to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness. Stay up to date with the latest trends in test automation and AI-based automation features in Katalon. Required Skills & Qualifications: Solid hands-on experience with Katalon Studio for test automation. Proficiency in creating and maintaining test scripts for web and API testing. Solid experience in Agile environments and cross-functional team collaboration. Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically about testing scenarios. In-depth understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC). Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile projects. Good communication skills and ability to work well within a team. Desirable Skills (Added Advantage): Knowledge of AI-based automation features in Katalon. Experience with CI/CD tools and integration of automation within these pipelines. Understanding of test automation best practices and patterns.
