About the role
As a Business Analyst at our company, you will play a crucial role in collaborating with product managers, developers, and operations teams to translate complex business needs into actionable requirements for our next-generation low-latency, real-time market data platform. This is an exciting opportunity for you to deepen your expertise in financial data systems and streaming technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements for real-time data solutions by engaging with both internal and external stakeholders. - Analyze market data protocols and establish mappings to standardized schemas and data models. - Develop detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and data dictionaries to guide development teams. - Work closely with QA and development teams to ensure that requirements are testable, traceable, and meet quality standards. - Engage in agile ceremonies like sprint planning and retrospectives to support iterative delivery. - Contribute to process improvements, documentation, and data validation initiatives to support operational readiness. Qualifications & Experience: - Minimum of 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in financial services, market data, or a related domain. - Strong understanding of real-time data concepts, including streaming architectures, data normalization, and data quality management. - Familiarity with APIs and data integration techniques. - Proficiency in SQL, scripting languages (e.g., Python), version control tools (e.g., Git), and agile project tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). - Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global team setting. - Fluent in English with exceptional presentation and documentation abilities. Preferred Skills: - Working knowledge of market data protocols such as FIX, ITCH, or similar. - Experience using agile delivery and backlog management tools. - Exposure to data modeling, data lineage, or performance metric tracking.
