Senior Network Security Consultant

As a Senior Network Security Consultant for a project-based role, you will be responsible for assisting in a network assessment, redesign, and security enhancement project for a client with a Fortinet-based infrastructure. Your main tasks will include evaluating the current environment, developing network and security architecture recommendations, implementing approved changes, and producing professional technical documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Review and assess existing Fortinet infrastructure, including FortiGate Firewalls, FortiSwitches, and FortiAP Wireless Access Points - Analyze network topology, VLAN structure, routing, VPNs, and security policies to identify configuration issues, security risks, and performance concerns - Develop current-state network documentation, including physical network diagrams, logical network diagrams, and security zone diagrams - Conduct a firewall and network security assessment using CIS Controls, Fortinet best practices, and industry-standard network security principles - Design a secure and scalable network architecture with security zone architecture, VLAN segmentation strategy, and future-state logical network diagrams - Implement approved network and security changes, validate connectivity, segmentation, VPN functionality, and security controls, and assist with troubleshooting and post-implementation support Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5 years of enterprise networking experience and minimum 3 years of hands-on Fortinet experience - Strong expertise with FortiGate Firewalls, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, and FortiOS - Experience designing and implementing VLANs, security zones, site-to-site VPNs, remote access VPNs, firewall policies, and network segmentation - Experience creating professional network diagrams and technical documentation - Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Company Details: Omitting this section as no additional company details are mentioned in the job description.
