About the role
Position : TQM Team Member Location : Pune, Maharashtra and Hosur, Tamil Nadu Role Purpose The role will lead organisation-wide improvement initiatives, build a culture of operational excellence, conduct assessments and audits, and partner with manufacturing leadership to improve quality, productivity, cost, delivery and overall operational performance. Key Responsibilities • Drive deployment and sustenance of TQM and TPM frameworks across manufacturing locations. • Lead Business Excellence initiatives focused on Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, Productivity and Employee Involvement. • Facilitate Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement projects to eliminate waste and improve process capability. • Conduct Business Excellence, TPM and process audits to assess maturity and identify improvement opportunities. • Develop roadmaps for operational excellence and monitor implementation through measurable KPIs. • Coach plant leadership and cross functional teams on Lean, TPM and quality improvement methodologies. • Drive problem solving using structured methodologies such as PDCA, Kaizen, A3, 8D, Root Cause Analysis, FMEA and Statistical Tools. • Lead benchmarking and best practice deployment across manufacturing facilities. • Build capability through training, workshops and mentoring of plant teams. • Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Engineering teams to drive sustainable improvements. • Monitor progress of improvement projects and present periodic reviews to senior leadership. • Support organisational transformation initiatives and culture-building programmes aligned to Business Excellence. Desired Candidate Profile • 7+ years of relevant experience in Business Excellence, TQM or TPM. • Must currently be working in a core TQM, TPM or Business Excellence function. • Experience in large manufacturing operations with more than 2,000 employees. • Exposure to high volume mass production and complex manufacturing environments. • Experience with Japanese manufacturing organisations, Automotive OEMs or reputed Tier 1 automotive suppliers will be preferred. • Candidates with a combination of industry experience and approximately 3 years in consulting or auditing roles will be highly preferred. • Professional certifications in TQM, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis or related Business Excellence methodologies will be preferred. Educational Qualification • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. • Post Graduate qualification in Operations or Business Management will be an advantage.
