About the role
We are seeking a skilled Looker Developer with strong expertise in LookML , Looker Dashboards , and GCP data warehousing . In addition to technical proficiency, the ideal candidate will be capable of managing projects, engaging with stakeholders, and driving successful BI initiatives. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, hands-on experience in designing and optimizing Looker based BI solutions. A key responsibility will be delivering Tableau-to-Looker migration projects , ensuring seamless transitions while maintaining data accuracy, performance, and usability. Responsibilities 1. Design, develop, and maintain Looker data models using LookML . 2. Build interactive, scalable, and high-performance Looker dashboards and reports . 3. Work with GCP data warehousing technologies (e.g., BigQuery) to model and optimize data for analytics. 4. Lead end-to-end Tableau-to-Looker migration projects, including requirement,assessment, design, implementation, validation, UAT and adoption. 5. Manage and maintain LookML projects using GitLab/GitHub for version control, including branching, code reviews, merge requests, conflict resolution, and deployment following BI development best practices. 6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, analytics, and business stakeholders. 7. Conduct stakeholder meetings, provide project updates, and manage client expectations. 8. Optimize dashboard performance and ensure data quality and governance. 9. Provide documentation, knowledge transfer, and user training where required. Qualifications 1. 5+ years of relevant experience with strong analytical and BI development skills 2. 3+ years of strong hands-on experience with Looker (LookML development, dashboards, explores) 3. Experience handling stakeholders and client communication 4. Understanding of UAT processes and change management practices 5. Robust expertise in Data modeling and BI 6.
