Junior Programmer Analyst

As an ideal candidate for the role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to reporting, data integration, data modeling, stakeholder collaboration, deployment, and maintenance. Here is a breakdown of the key responsibilities: - Reporting & Visualization: - Develop and maintain SSRS reports (tabular, matrix, drill-through, and parameterized reports) - Design interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI - Implement data visualization best practices (KPI cards, trend analysis, RAG indicators) - Optimize reports for performance and usability - Data Integration & ETL: - Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ETL processes - Extract data from multiple sources (SQL Server, APIs, flat files) - Perform data transformation, cleansing, and loading into reporting databases - Schedule and monitor SSIS jobs for regular data refresh - Data Modeling & Analysis: - Design and maintain data models for Power BI - Create DAX measures, calculated columns, and data relationships - Perform data validation and ensure accuracy of reporting metrics - Stakeholder Collaboration: - Gather reporting requirements from business users, QA, and leadership - Convert business needs into technical specifications - Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis - Deployment & Maintenance: - Deploy reports across environments (DEV, QA, PROD) - Troubleshoot issues related to report generation, data accuracy, and performance - Maintain documentation for reports, dashboards, and ETL processes In terms of required skills, you should possess: - Strong experience in SSRS, SSIS, and Power BI - Proficiency in SQL, data modeling concepts, DAX functions, and Power Query - Experience with report deployment pipelines and data warehousing concepts - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Good communication with business stakeholders - Ability to handle multiple reporting requests simultaneously Preferred qualifications include: - Experience in Healthcare / Audit / Claims domain - Exposure to Azure / Databricks / Cloud data platforms - Experience with automation tools like Power Automate - Familiarity with scheduling tools Technologies and tools you will work with include SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, Power BI, and Excel. Optional exposure to Azure Data Factory and Databricks would be beneficial. As for qualifications, candidates should have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong foundation in programming concepts, data structures, and problem-solving. Basic knowledge of Microsoft technologies, exposure to Azure cloud services, and familiarity with Agile methodologies are preferred.
