AI Engineer III - Machine Learning Models

As a Software Development Engineer III for the EG Finance AI platform engineering team, you will play a crucial role in owning the end-to-end technical execution of AI products, focusing on solution design through production scale. Your deep hands-on expertise in ML engineering, LLMs, software systems, and AI platforms will be instrumental in building reusable and scalable AI capabilities. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers and Engineers to ensure the delivery of trusted, explainable, and production-ready AI systems. Your responsibilities in this role include: - Designing and developing end-to-end AI products and deployment pipelines. - Taking ownership of the technical architecture for AI workflows, including prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic systems. - Developing and reviewing backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power AI products. - Translating complex Finance problems into scalable AI system designs. - Ensuring that AI solutions meet high standards for performance, reliability, security, and governance. - Driving production readiness through monitoring, logging, evaluation, and cost control. - Establishing best practices for AI development, deployment, and maintenance. - Collaborating closely with Product and stakeholders to shape technical solutions. Qualifications and Experience: - Strong hands-on expertise in Python and SQL, with a preference for Java. - 5+ years of development experience in an enterprise-level engineering environment, showcasing increasing levels of technical expertise. - Proven track record of building and deploying ML/AI/LLM-powered systems in production. - Deep understanding of prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows. - Experience with modern LLMs and frameworks like OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama, LangChain, Langflow, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel. - Solid software engineering background including API design, distributed systems, and system integration. - Familiarity with data platforms, semantic modeling, and time-series logic. - Proficiency in Data Structures and Algorithm. - Sound understanding of cloud-native architectures, containers, and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with MLOps concepts such as monitoring, evaluation, and lifecycle management. - Knowledge of AI security, auditability, and compliance considerations. - Ability to rapidly learn and apply new AI tools and technologies. In this role, you will contribute to ensuring that AI products are designed and built for adoption across Finance teams, that systems scale reliably and are reusable across multiple use cases, and that AI solutions meet enterprise standards for trust, explainability, and governance.
