Senior SDET Engineer

You are an enthusiastic Test Engineer who will be working at the forefront of cloud modernization within the Credit & Verification Services team at Experian. This is a hybrid role that involves traveling to the Hyderabad office approximately 40% of the time. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team that uses Agile DevSecOps principles to deliver business value. The team primarily focuses on .NET technologies and builds modern, cloud-native applications using the latest .NET 8+. The architecture is Kubernetes-based (EKS) to run scalable, resilient microservices in the cloud, leveraging various AWS services like Lambda, Kinesis, Dynamo, and RDS for performance, observability, and integration. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scripts based on business requirements. - Develop, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing. - Create and maintain test data, test environments, and automation scripts. - Perform various types of testing: - White Box testing - Black Box testing - Integration testing - UI testing - API Testing Qualifications: - 4 to 7 years of hands-on experience in quality engineering, software testing, or test automation. - Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile/Scrum processes. - Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. - Passion for quality, learning new technologies, and continuous improvement. - Hands-on experience with UI, API automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST-assured, or Postman. - Proficiency in Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) approaches. - Working knowledge of SQL for data validation. - Experience in at least one programming/scripting language: Java, Scala, Python, or JavaScript. - Basic understanding of Containers (Docker) and CI/CD processes. - Experience with version control systems like Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or Gitlab. - Working knowledge of API testing, backend validations, and functional automation. - Clear understanding of defect lifecycle, reporting, and issue tracking tools like Jira. - Strong collaboration skills and a mindset for quality ownership. Highly Desirable and Useful skills: - Exposure to AWS services like S3, Lambda, Step Functions, Glue, or similar. - Understanding of Agile delivery frameworks Scrum or Kanban. - Knowledge of Performance Testing tools. - Basic knowledge of Big Data Testing.
