About the role
As a Technical Lead at Experian, your role will involve driving the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performance applications in a cloud-native environment. Your strong expertise in AWS, Java, Spring framework, and basic Python, along with leadership skills, will guide engineering teams and ensure best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the design and development of scalable, resilient, and secure applications on AWS. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers. - Architect and implement microservices-based solutions using Java and Spring Boot. - Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to define technical solutions aligned with business goals. - Drive code quality, best practices, and design standards across the team. - Oversee CI/CD pipelines, deployment strategies, and cloud infrastructure. - Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement robust solutions. - Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and reliability of systems. - Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical decision-making. Must-Have Skills: - Strong hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS, etc.), Java (8 or above), Spring Framework / Spring Boot / Microservices architecture. - Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and design patterns. - Basic working knowledge of Python, version control systems (Git), CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar). - Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams. Good-to-Have Skills: - Experience with PySpark, AWS Glue, data engineering pipelines / ETL workflows, big data processing frameworks. - Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), DevOps practices, and Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation/Terraform). Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Typically 8+ years of experience in software development with at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
