About the role
Our client, a leader in the automotive industry, is seeking a Warranty Analysis Automotive Engineer to join their team. As a Warranty Analysis Automotive Engineer, you will be part of the Quality and Product Engineering departments supporting warranty failure analysis, root cause investigation, and product reliability improvements.
Job Title: Warranty Analysis Automotive Engineer Location: Auburn Hills, MI (On Site) Pay Range: $30 per hour on W2
What's the Job? Perform detailed warranty part analysis and failure investigations for returned field components. Conduct root cause analysis using engineering methodologies such as 8D, Fishbone, 5 Why, FMEA, and fault tree analysis. Analyze failed components related to engine systems and components. Support disposition activities including teardown analysis, repairability assessment, and containment actions. Collaborate with design engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams to drive corrective and preventive actions. What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related engineering discipline. 5-10 years of experience in automotive warranty analysis, product engineering, quality engineering, or failure analysis. Strong understanding of automotive mechanical systems and fundamental engineering concepts. Experience with teardown analysis and component diagnostics.
