About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced System Architect to lead the design and architecture of enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, software development experience, strategic thinking capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for the business at ExxonMobil. This position is based in Bengaluru. Roles and Responsibility Designs and supports the development of technology systems that meet business needs, focusing on platform operations and reliability. Develops and delivers roadmap and planning product lifecycle, including DBM record maintenance, upgrades, and retirements. Develops and maintains System Architecture models (e.g., System Interaction diagrams) and reference implementations within the system of record (e.g., Portfolio Management and Enterprise Architecture tools). Verifies stability, interoperability, portability, security, and scalability of the system architecture. Evaluates and guides the selection of technologies required to introduce new systems to meet business needs. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new systems. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited university. 10+ years of experience in Software development and architecture. Strong experience with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure. Expertise in designing microservices, serverless architectures, and distributed systems. Proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET, and front-end frameworks like Angular/React. Experience with authentication/authorization using Azure Active Directory (Entra ID). Strong understanding of database design and optimization (SQL Server). Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. Experience with system integration, API design, and enterprise architecture frameworks. Exposure to Python and willingness to upskill. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging systems.
