Senior Production Engineer (Oil & Gas)

As a Production Engineer in the oil and gas industry at ExxonMobil, your role will involve collaborating with engineers and operators on global teams to analyze well/field performance and advise on production optimization. You will work with a cross-disciplinary team to identify and execute opportunities for production debottlenecking and operations schedule optimization. Your responsibilities will also include championing effective production optimization by engaging with stakeholders, conducting periodic assessments of field production system health, and supporting operator teams for operations schedule optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Lead/collaborate with engineers and operators on global teams to analyze well/field performance and advise on production optimization - Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team to identify and execute opportunities for production debottlenecking and operations schedule optimization - Champion effective production optimization by engaging with stakeholders to address challenges and deliver solutions - Lead/support periodic assessments of field production system health to identify optimization opportunities - Support operator teams for operations schedule optimization, capacity enhancement, and production planning - Develop, deploy, and apply technologies for oilfield production optimization - Conduct screening economic evaluations of well intervention and stimulation operations - Manage production data, measurement, and allocation quality assurance - Influence prioritization and support enhancement of proprietary production engineering technology - Develop technical capabilities of team members through training and mentoring Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in petroleum, chemical, mechanical, or other relevant engineering disciplines with a minimum GPA of 7.0 - Minimum 8 years of experience in Production Engineer field - Experience in leading teams and working in cross-disciplinary projects - Experience in production surveillance, troubleshooting, and optimization of well and field performance - Strong knowledge of basic concepts including inflow/outflow modeling, well testing principles, network modeling, well design, completion technologies, reservoir surveillance, and more Additional Company Details: - Preferred qualifications/experience include proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, Matlab, C#), data visualization software, production database management, Agile development practices, Azure Cloud, digital oil field tools, and experience in roles such as reservoir surveillance, well intervention, and operation support.
