About the role
As a Functional Consultant at EY, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and integrating technology solutions to better serve clients and engagement teams in the Tax Technology team. Your responsibilities will include: - Leading functional requirement workshops with client teams and creating detailed business requirement specifications. - Analyzing data and documents to identify insights on the current client state, processes, functions, and operational practices. - Creating and documenting business process models using various modeling tools to illustrate current and future state processes. - Collaborating with client/onsite teams to build functional solutions through solution wireframes in an iterative approach. - Converting business requirement specifications into detailed functional solutions for design and development. - Working as a bridge between client business teams and technical teams during the build phase, providing requirements debriefs and walkthroughs. - Participating in work product reviews, validating against baselined requirements, and demonstrating work products to clients in sprint reviews. - Creating functional test cases for UAT testing, user manuals, business user training decks, and SOPs for solution transition and adoption. - Delivering end-user training and ensuring a smooth transition to the client. - Identifying opportunities for business process improvement and optimization through automation. Qualifications & Experience: - CA/CMA/MBA Finance with 4 to 8 years of experience. - Minimum 3 to 4 full-cycle implementation experience for financial transformation projects, preferably in tax/accounting. - Strong functional knowledge and work experience with ERP/EPM tools, preferably SAP. Functional and Technical Skillsets: - Financial Planning, Analysis modeling, tax domain knowledge, ERP/SAP foundational knowledge. - Experience in ERP implementation and business intelligence tools is preferred. Soft Skills: - Problem-solving, analytical skillset, decision-making, communication skillset, personal strength, social skillset. - Ability to work under agile framework, learn new work domains as demanded by project requirements, and adapt to changing environments.
