About the role
As a Senior Consultant in the Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) group at EY, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients within the banking book portfolio to design and implement strategic and functional changes. Role Overview: EY's Financial Services Office (FSO) provides integrated advisory services to financial institutions, leveraging deep industry experience and functional capability. Within the FSO Advisory Practice, the FSRM group focuses on helping clients identify, measure, manage, and monitor market, credit, operational, and regulatory risks associated with their capital markets activities. Key Responsibilities: - Demonstrate deep technical capabilities and industry knowledge of financial products, especially lending products - Stay updated on market trends and demands in the financial services sector to understand clients' needs - Monitor progress, manage risks, and communicate effectively with key stakeholders - Mentor junior consultants within the organization - Review, analyze, and concur with tasks completed by junior staff - Work on projects involving model audits, validation, and development activities Qualifications Required: Must-have: - Postgraduate degree (masters in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or related field) with at least 3 years of experience in financial institutions or consulting firms - Complete understanding of credit risk model development, validation, and implementation for the banking book portfolio - Hands-on experience in data preparation, manipulation, and consolidation - Strong knowledge in regulatory modeling with model development/validation experience - Understanding of PD, LGD, EAD modeling - Strong documentation skills and background in statistics and econometrics - Proficiency in SAS, Advanced Python, and Excel Good-to-have: - Certifications such as FRM, CFA, PRM, SCR, RAI - Proficiency in Java/C, Data/Business Intelligence (BI) Reporting - Knowledge in Machine Learning models and its applications - Willingness to travel to meet client needs - Previous project management experience Join EY in building a better working world by leveraging your skills and expertise to create long-term value for clients and society.
