Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Penetration Tester Ethical Hacker/Cybersecurity professional. In this role, you will plan and execute penetration tests on web, mobile, and cloud-based systems to identify vulnerabilities and assess risk. You will conduct security assessments, simulate real-world attacks, and provide clear reports with remediation recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Day-to-day activities include reviewing system architectures, collaborating with development and operations teams, participating in red team exercises, and staying current with emerging threats, tools, and best practices. You may also assist in developing secure coding guidelines, improving security processes, and contributing to internal knowledge sharing and documentation. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Cybersecurity, including understanding of common attack vectors, security frameworks, and defensive controls. Candidates should possess skills in Application Security, with experience testing web, mobile, and API-based applications for vulnerabilities. Candidates should possess skills in Red Teaming, including planning and executing adversarial simulations and coordinated attack scenarios. Candidates should possess skills in Reverse Engineering and Malware Analysis, including analyzing binaries, scripts, and malicious code to understand behavior and impact. Relevant experience with penetration testing tools and methodologies (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap, Wireshark, Kali Linux, OSINT tools). Knowledge of cloud security best practices across platforms such as Microsoft Azure and AWS. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, actionable security reports. Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple assessments, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Industry certifications such as OSCP, CEH, GPEN, or similar are beneficial. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. .
