Advanced Engineer Benchmarking

We are looking for a highly analytical and experienced Sr./Adv Engineer Benchmarking & Engineering Insights to lead benchmarking activities across automotive products. The ideal candidate will have expertise in competitor product evaluation, teardown analysis, cost engineering, and translating benchmarking insights into actionable engineering improvements. Key Responsibilities Lead competitor benchmarking and product teardown activities. Analyze competitor products, technologies, materials, and manufacturing processes. Perform feature, performance, and cost comparisons across automotive platforms. Collaborate with Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to support product development. Develop and maintain benchmarking databases and digital libraries. Create technical reports, presentations, and engineering insight documents. Support engineering teams with data-driven recommendations during product development. Build Power BI dashboards to monitor benchmarking KPIs and trends. Maintain SharePoint repositories and benchmarking documentation. Identify opportunities for product improvement, innovation, and cost optimization. Participate in global benchmarking initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities. Mentor junior engineers on benchmarking methodologies and best practices. Preferred candidate profile Experience in a Tier 1 automotive supplier environment Exposure to global benchmarking practices and innovation tracking Track record of driving strategic insights from technical and market data Ability to influence engineering decisions through benchmarking intelligence Certification in Competitive Analysis, Cost Engineering, or Product Teardown is a plus
