About the role
You will be responsible for managing and maintaining scalable, highly available, and secure cloud infrastructure primarily on AWS and GCP. Your key responsibilities will include: - Working directly with development teams to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot services in pre-production and production environments - Monitoring and optimizing infrastructure performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in collaboration with the DevOps Lead and Engineering Lead - Developing and enhancing robust CI/CD pipelines to facilitate rapid and reliable software releases - Championing automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and routine operational tasks - Implementing and managing monitoring, alerting, and logging systems to ensure the health and performance of all services - Enforcing security best practices across the infrastructure and CI/CD process - Designing, deploying, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining secure, highly available, and scalable Kafka clusters in production environments You should have the following skills and experience: - Proven professional experience managing production workloads on either AWS or GCP - Hands-on experience with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning - Strong working knowledge of setting up and managing CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI - Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go for automation tasks - Strong hands-on knowledge of Apache Kafka architecture - Deep understanding of Linux operating systems - Solid knowledge of cloud networking concepts - Expert use of Git If you are highly desirable, you should also have expertise in managing production workloads on both AWS and GCP.
