About the role
As a Datacenter Network Engineer Senior at FIS, you will be a part of the dynamic architecture and engineering team responsible for project delivery and changes. Your main responsibilities will include: - Performing device configurations, OS upgrades, and deploying network devices such as routers, switches, load balancers, and ACI. - Following documented network services processes and procedures, identifying gaps, and suggesting improvements. - Monitoring, responding to, and providing resolution for all network projects and incidents on call support. - Participating in new builds, migrations, replacements in the network to meet project requirements. - Troubleshooting network problems, recommending corrective procedures, and assisting with circuit equipment troubleshooting. - Identifying workflow improvement opportunities and creating supporting documentation for review by peers and management. Qualifications required for this role include: - 8+ years of progressive experience in network engineering in a large Data Center environment with expertise in Routing, Switching, Load balancing, ACI, and Automation. - Knowledge of Cisco technologies and the ability to document using MS Visio and MS Office. - Independent analysis, configuration, and troubleshooting of network connectivity. - Clear understanding of network security and adherence to FIS security architecture mandates. In addition, you should bring: - 7+ years of experience in network engineering with expertise in Data Center, Routing, Switching, Load balancing, ACI. - CCNP/CCIE & Data Center experience are required. - ACI knowledge including Switch installation and configuration, Multipod, Multisite, ACI greenfield deployment, L2 & L3 fabric, EPG, bridge domain, and UCS knowledge. - Proficiency in Virtualization, Nexus Dashboard, Automation tools like Git, Python, Ansible, JSON, routing protocols, switching technologies, hardware & OS expertise, and network tools. - Familiarity with F5 & NetScalers Load Balancers and multivendor knowledge. Your ability to prioritize, execute tasks in a time-sensitive environment, multi-task, work in continuous night shifts or weekends, and effective communication skills will be crucial in this role.
