What you will be doing Installs, maintains and upgrades internal computer hardware and software systems used for designing and developing company products.Controls user access and passwords.Proposes and implements system enhancements that will improve reliability and performance of system. Monitors usage and performance.Trains personnel on system usage.Troubleshoots server, software and hardware issues.Assists with recommending, scheduling and implementing system hardware and/or software upgrades or repairs.Researches, evaluates and recommends software and hardware products.Supports Web access and electronic messaging services and maintains a secure systems environment.Provides new hardware specifications to users based on application needs and anticipated growth.Will be working in 24/7 Rotational Shifts What you bring: Minimum 7 to 10 Years of experience in AIX 6.1/7.1Handle day-to-day UNIX/AIX operating system tasks and break-fix supportConfiguration and troubleshooting of AIX Operating systemVCS Clustering and High availability managementDesigning, troubleshooting and storage MigrationsSystems running on Linux / AIX platforms and OS clustering, partitioning and virtualizationProven knowledge of the fundamental concepts and technologies associated with AIX Operating Systems (Hardware, Software).Ability to perform installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning.Expertise in OS backupsImplement changes, perform security related tasks, identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and proceduresProficient in patching level issues, support required for any issues during the patchingWillingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needsFollowing Standard Operating Procedures for BAU support, Build, configure and maintain all applicable ServersRecognizing and articulating job-related problems to management.Analyzing technical problems and creating solutions involving the use of existing techniques and/or toolsChallenging the validity of given procedures and processes with the intent to enhance and improve a customer solution.Assisting in the identification of new service opportunities.Providing coverage for BAU Unix Server Management teams along with other project works assigned.Abiding by Incident, Change and Problem Management procedures, including complying with the Service Level Agreements as documented in the Problem Severity matrix.
