Engineer Principal, Site Reliability

As a Site Reliability Engineer at FIS, you will play a crucial role in supporting reliability, scalability, and operational excellence across critical Lending platforms. Key Responsibilities: - Drive reliability, automation, and innovation within the Lending landscape - Design and maintain monitoring and observability for infrastructure, applications, and user experience - Build automation to enhance deployment consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency - Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of production systems - Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis, and implement post-incident improvements - Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and resource optimization - Manage CI/CD pipelines and configuration management for reliable releases - Collaborate with security teams to incorporate reliability and compliance best practices - Develop and validate disaster recovery, backup, and resiliency strategies - Participate in on-call rotations to provide support during critical production incidents Qualifications Required: - Strong experience with web-based and API-driven application architectures - Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms and infrastructure as code - Practical experience with containerization and orchestration technologies - Proficiency with monitoring, alerting, and logging platforms - Experience managing incidents and conducting structured post-mortems - Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems - Scripting and automation skills using modern programming languages - Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Kubernetes-based production environments - Familiarity with multiple cloud providers and hybrid architectures - Knowledge of security, compliance, and resiliency best practices - Experience in supporting regulated Lending systems - Exposure to service-level objectives and reliability metrics If you're ready to innovate in fintech, thrive in an inclusive and diverse team environment, and seek opportunities for professional and personal development, then FIS is the place for you.
