Position Type Full time Type Of Hire Experienced (relevant combo of work and education) QA Automation & Manual Testing with Playwright,Selenim Pune Location Role Summary The Engineer Lead, Quality is responsible for leading the Quality Engineering function to ensure delivery of high-quality, secure, and compliant software solutions. This role defines enterprise-aligned testing strategies, enforces SDLC quality gates, and drives continuous improvement in test automation, defect prevention, and release readiness. The position plays a critical role in ensuring adherence to FIS SDLC standards, audit requirements, and resiliency objectives. Key Responsibilities Quality Engineering Strategy & GovernanceDefine and implement quality engineering strategy aligned with FIS SDLC governance standardsEstablish test coverage thresholds, quality gates, and release exit criteriaEnsure compliance with enterprise policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standardsGovern evidence collection for audits, releases, and control validations Test Lifecycle ManagementOwn end-to-end testing lifecycle including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testingDevelop and maintain test plans, test cases, and execution schedulesImplement shift-left testing practices and integrate QA into CI/CD pipelinesEnsure validation of non-functional requirements (performance, reliability, scalability) Test Automation & ToolingLead design and implementation of scalable test automation frameworksIncrease automation coverage across UI, API, and backend servicesDrive adoption of enterprise-approved tools and reusable QA componentsOptimize testing efficiency and reduce cycle time through automation Defect, Risk & Release Quality ManagementEstablish defect management process including triage, prioritization, and resolution trackingPerform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive defect prevention initiativesMonitor defect trends, release quality metrics, and production incidentsEnsure production readiness through defined quality gates and defect thresholds Agile Delivery & Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Engineering, Product Owners, and Architecture teams to embed quality in Agile deliveryParticipate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release readiness reviewsEnsure testability of requirements and completeness of acceptance criteriaProvide regular reporting on quality metrics, risks, and release readiness to stakeholders Resiliency, Stability & Continuous ImprovementDrive improvements in application stability, availability, and resiliencyIdentify quality gaps and implement process/tooling enhancementsSupport post-release reviews and continuous improvement initiativesAlign quality practices with enterprise resiliency and reliability objectives Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline6+ years of experience in Quality Engineering / QA, with 3+ years in leadership roleStrong knowledge ofTest automation frameworks (UI, API, performance)QA Automation & Manual Testing with Playwright,SelenimAgile / DevOps and CI/CD pipelinesSDLC governance, release management, and audit controlsExperience working in enterprise/regulatory environments (financial services preferred)Strong stakeholder communication and leadership skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with enterprise compliance, audit readiness, and control evidence managementKnowledge of security testing and non-functional testing practicesCertifications ISTQB, Agile (SAFe/Scrum), Six Sigma, or equivalent Privacy Statement FIS is committed to protecting the privacy and security of all personal information that we process in order to provide services to our clients.
