About the role
Role Overview: You will be responsible for developing systems for data collection, storage, and management across all supply chain functions. This includes establishing data validation processes, monitoring market trends, and analyzing data to provide insights for cost optimization and efficiency improvements. Additionally, you will maintain a database of suppliers and relevant metrics, deliver regular reports on supply chain performance, and support senior management by providing actionable insights from data. Key Responsibilities: - Develop systems for data collection, storage, and management across all supply chain functions such as procurement, logistics, vendor management, etc. - Establish data validation processes to ensure data integrity and accuracy. - Oversee the implementation and maintenance of supply chain data systems including ERP, spreadsheets, and databases. - Monitor market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitor activity in the Power T&D sector to stay informed about the industry landscape. - Analyze data from suppliers, shipping providers, and internal operations to provide insights into cost optimization and efficiency improvements. - Maintain a database of suppliers, costs, lead times, and other relevant metrics to facilitate strategic sourcing decisions. - Develop and deliver regular reports on supply chain performance, including procurement cost analysis, supplier performance, inventory levels, and logistics efficiency. - Support senior management by providing actionable insights from data to guide supply chain strategy and decision-making processes. - Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain performance such as supplier lead times, inventory turnover, and procurement costs. - Conduct gap analysis to identify areas for process improvement within the supply chain function and use data analytics to propose and implement cost reduction and process efficiency improvements. - Collaborate with procurement, operations, finance, and other departments to ensure data and reporting processes are aligned with broader company goals. - Provide analytical support to various teams to help them make data-driven decisions. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. - Proven experience in data management, supply chain analytics, and process optimization. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
