You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend engineers, to deliver new features, optimize performance, and enhance the overall user experience. About the role We are seeking a talented Android Engineer to join our Bengaluru engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain high-quality Android applications that empower millions of users to shop for groceries and essentials effortlessly. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, contribute to product innovation, and ensure top-notch performance and reliability in our mobile applicat ions. Key responsibi lities Design and develop high-quality Android applications using Kotlin an d Java.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to define, design, and ship new fe atures.Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the appli cation.Maintain clean, well-documented, and organized code; drive automation and CI/CD pra ctices.Identify potential bottlenecks and bugs in Android applications and devise efficient sol utions.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the engineering team and promote best pra ctices.Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and fram eworks.Participate in code reviews and mentor junior eng ineers. Qualif ications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent ex perience.Strong experience with Kotlin and Java for Android dev elopment.Proven track record of building and shipping Android applications with high performance and s tability.Solid understanding of Android SDK, UI/UX design principles, and best p ractices.Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and offline storage s olutions.Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative development in fast-paced envi ronments.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex ch allenges.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a dive rse team.
