The Role
As a founding product engineer at Flick, you’ll sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and filmmaking. You won’t just build features — you’ll shape how people create films with AI. You will work directly with the founders, and have the opportunity to shape the future interface for AI visual storytelling.
What you’ll do

Design and build product features end-to-end across frontend and backend.

Rapidly prototype and iterate on new creative workflows with tight feedback loops.

Work closely with founders on product direction, UX decisions, and feature prioritization.

Translate ambiguous ideas into intuitive, high-quality user experiences.

Continuously refine interaction details, polish, and usability.

Help define the future of AI-native creative tools.
Requirements

Strong full stack engineering skills (React, TypeScript, backend frameworks).

Exceptional product sense and attention to UX details .

Experience building creative tools. Can become an expert in creative technology in AI video production.

Strong intuition for what makes a product feel simple, powerful, and delightful.

Startup mindset: high ownership, high agency, high velocity.

Nice-to-have

Love films and art.

You are a creator yourself : filmmaker, video editor, animator, designer, or similar.

Have experience in AI video generation.

Have been a founder before.

Have contributed in open-source projects, and coding for fun outside of regular work.
