About the role
As an experienced and driven NPD Manager, you will lead the New Product Development function at our Saki Naka facility. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Lead end-to-end new product development process including ideation, prototyping, testing, and final launch - Define product specifications, material selection, and design validation procedures - Collaborate with various teams to ensure smooth product launches and identify opportunities for innovation - Design, document, and implement NPD SOPs and stage-gate processes - Build and maintain a structured NPD pipeline with clear timelines, milestones, and accountability - Lead and mentor a team of NPD engineers and executives, ensuring timely project delivery - Create and maintain NPD dashboards for tracking project status and performance metrics - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align product roadmap with business needs - Ensure products meet quality, compliance, and cost targets before launch Qualifications required for this role: - B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering - Prior experience in New Product Development or Product Engineering - Experience setting up NPD systems, SOPs, and stage-gate processes - Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, and advanced MS Excel - Experience in leading and managing a team of engineers - Excellent written and spoken English communication skills - Strong structured thinking, documentation discipline, and stakeholder management skills Please note that candidates residing nearby or willing to commute to the office location will be preferred.
