QA Lead Automation & Quality Engineering About the Role We are seeking a QA Lead to drive automation strategy and elevate quality standards across our platforms. This role goes beyond test execution you will architect scalable automation frameworks, embed quality into delivery pipelines, and lead performance and reliability initiatives. You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams to build a culture where quality is integrated throughout the development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Automation Strategy & Architecture Define and own the overall automation strategy across products. Design, architect, and maintain scalable, reusable automation frameworks (Java-based). Drive automation coverage across UI, API, and backend services. Establish and enforce automation best practices and coding standards. Promote shift-left testing and TDD principles across teams. Performance & Reliability Engineering Lead load, stress, and performance testing initiatives (e.g., Apache JMeter or equivalent). Analyze performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements. Partner with engineering teams to validate fixes and meet performance benchmarks. Quality in CI/CD Integrate automated testing deeply within CI/CD pipelines. Define and enforce quality gates for builds and production releases. Manage Git-based workflows and conduct code reviews for automation code. Track defects, test execution, and quality metrics using JIRA or similar tools. Collaboration & Leadership Work cross-functionally in Agile/Scrum environments. Review product requirements early to identify risks and quality gaps. Mentor and guide junior and mid-level QA engineers. Influence tooling decisions, testing strategies, and process improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications Core Technical Skills Strong hands-on expertise in Java-based automation testing . Proven experience designing and architecting automation frameworks. Hands-on experience with Selenium, Appium, or similar tools . Strong experience in API automation testing . Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, TDD, and CI/CD practices . Working knowledge of Git workflows and branching strategies . Experience with JIRA or similar defect/test management tools. Experience 6+ years of experience in software testing and automation. Demonstrated ownership of automation strategy for a complex product/platform. Experience working across cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders. Proven track record of improving test coverage, reliability, and release confidence. Nice to Have Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP . Exposure to Healthcare or B2B SaaS environments. Understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and security best practices. Experience with observability, monitoring, and production quality metrics.
