Senior Electrical Designer

Job Description: TASKS Perform detailed electrical design for Battery Energy Storage System projects. Design, analyze and prepare project deliverables for battery and inverter systems, substations, power distribution systems, lighting & grounding systems, and other electrical systems as required by each project. Provide technical support for design/engineering, fabrication and construction. Be able to perform as a task or overall project design lead if required. Apply thorough working knowledge to prepare and oversee the development of key project deliverables, including (but not limited to): One-line diagrams Block diagrams Electrical building and equipment layouts Cable schedule Interconnection and wiring diagrams Bills of Material Cable tray layouts Cable routing layout UG/AG routing layouts Lighting layout Lighting design calculations Grounding Layouts Use 3D modelling tools as required to model the electrical equipment, cable trays, and other components to ensure the design is clash free, as well as the constructability of the design. Project Development & Coordination Identify deliverables based on scope of work. Coordinate with other disciplines and BoP Contractors. Function as electrical design project or task lead as required. Report to and coordinate with lead engineer and assist electrical designers and engineers on tasks. Manage change and assess project impact. SKILL REQUIREMENTS Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant detailed electrical design experience with design of power systems for utility installations, oil and gas, industrial plants, PV plants, Battery Storage Systems or similar in the EMEA region. Drafting Tools: Experienced in drafting tools i.e. AutoCAD . 3D Modelling: Experienced in 3D modelling tool (i.e. Revit or similar). Technical Knowledge: Technical knowledge of the detailed design process and sequences. Leadership: Ability to lead tasks with minimal direction and supervision. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and regulations used in EMEA Region . Professional Attributes: Solution-orientated. Good communication skills. Languages: Fluency in English. German language skills beneficial.
