Role Overview: As a Cyber Security Spec IND at our highly successful 190-year-old Fortune 500 commercial property insurance company, you will assist senior team members in the day-to-day operations and monitoring of security infrastructure technologies to prevent, detect, and respond to security incidents. Your responsibilities will include monitoring security event alerts, investigating incidents, and supporting the implementation of security policies and infrastructure configurations. Key Responsibilities: - Perform daily security event monitoring and investigation activities under the guidance of senior team members - Support efforts to implement ongoing improvements to security policies and infrastructure configurations - Provide assistance for business and technology initiatives requiring support from the security infrastructure services team - Ensure that security standards are implemented and communicate any identified gaps to peers and management - Work collaboratively within the security infrastructure services team and across other groups to achieve goals and objectives - Maintain clear and accurate documentation for processes and configurations, ensuring it is kept up to date and accessible Qualifications Required: - 1-3 years of experience in information technology, security administration, or related disciplines - Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing - Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and ability to work independently or as part of a team - General knowledge of operating systems, databases, networks, or application development - Working knowledge of MS Office suite, especially Excel; PowerBI preferred - Familiarity with current security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigating strategies - Bachelor's degree required - Relevant certifications such as GSEC, GCIH, Security+, CySA+, or others are a plus Additional Company Details: Our presence in India at Bengaluru allows us to leverage the country's talented workforce to serve our clients better.
