Software Engineering Manager

As a Software Engineering Manager at FM India, your primary role will be to oversee technology delivery for your teams, comprising full-time technologists, contingent workers, and/or vendor partners. You will guide technology direction, lead technical initiatives, and act as the quality gatekeeper for your teams, ensuring adherence to development, security, and test standards. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the coding process, code reviews, refinement, and releases, as well as proactively identifying risks and providing technology proof of concept and templates. You will focus on building strong teams by coaching and mentoring team members, developing their technical skills, and ensuring cultural fit. Additionally, you will be responsible for team composition optimization, reviewing priorities, assessing resources, and handling administrative responsibilities within the department. As a technologist, you will identify relevant technology trends and tools to enhance skill sets and overall technology product delivery. Key Responsibilities: - Driving Delivery & Tech Needs at the team level - Acting as the Quality Gatekeeper for the coding process, code reviews, refinement, and releases - Removing blockers, raising risks, and paving the way via proof of concepts and templating - Building strong development teams, evaluating tech and cultural fit, coaching, and mentoring - Handling team administration including hiring, HR, training, budgeting, and planning - Developing talent at an individual level, conducting 1:1s, coaching, mentoring, and facilitating growth opportunities - Assisting in expanding capabilities at the tech product level, driving strategy, and leading strategic objectives Skill and Experience: - 5+ years of relevant experience - Experience as a team lead in development and evaluating technologies - Interviewing, hiring, and assessing personnel - Coaching, mentoring, and developing a technical workforce - Strong background in the appropriate area of technology - Excellent communication skills for providing guidance and education - Proven conflict resolution and mediation skills - Ability to create a trustful work environment Must Have Skills: - Strong understanding of Ivanti Platform Architecture and Capabilities - Deep knowledge of ITSM and Service Process Leadership - Experience in Integration Strategy and Oversight - Governance of Configuration and Customization - Management of Release, Upgrade, and Environment - Alignment with Security, Risk, and Compliance - Operational Risk Management and Technical Leadership Education and Certifications: - Bachelors degree required Work location: Bengaluru As a Software Engineering Manager at FM India, your primary role will be to oversee technology delivery for your teams, comprising full-time technologists, contingent workers, and/or vendor partners.
