Systems Administrator

As an IT professional at Folks, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of computer systems, networks, servers, and virtualization. Your role will involve installing and configuring software and hardware, setting up accounts and workstations, and monitoring performance to meet system requirements. You will also be involved in troubleshooting hardware and software errors, documenting problems and resolutions, and prioritizing issues to minimize disruptions. Key Responsibilities: - Install and configure software and hardware. - Set up accounts and workstations. - Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements. - Maintain the configuration and reliable operation of computer systems, networks, servers, and virtualization. - Install and upgrade computer components and software, manage virtual servers, and integrate automation processes. - Troubleshoot hardware and software errors, document problems and resolutions, prioritize issues, and assess the impact of problems. - Lead desktop and help desk support efforts, ensuring timely resolution of desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems. Qualifications Required: - 5 plus years of experience in system administration. - Experience in the VFX + Animation industry is preferred. - Comfortable working in rotational shifts. - Must have experience in Linux at least above the user level.
