As a Site Reliability Engineer III at Forcepoint, you will play a crucial role in ensuring operational efficiency through automation and the development of home-grown solutions in the Site Reliability Engineering organization. Your passion for problem-solving and ability to work across diverse stakeholder groups will be key in achieving success in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Own and manage critical applications essential for daily SRE operations, including HashiCorp Vault, Opsgenie, Atlassian StatusPage, etc. - Ensure optimal performance and adherence to security best practices of critical applications. - Streamline enterprise-wide certificate management program, automating rotation of internal and external certificates. - Build automation pipelines to enhance interactions across operational tools. - Oversee directory services, implementing automated processes for user on-boarding and off-boarding. - Design and implement automated solutions to enhance operational efficiency and eliminate manual toil. - Develop self-healing mechanisms and proactive monitoring for critical systems. - Collaborate with Engineering, Development, Customer Success, and other key functions to design in-house solutions and tooling. - Participate in incident response and postmortem processes to drive continuous improvement. - Maintain and enhance OpenLDAP infrastructure for authentication and authorization. - Collaborate with InfoSec and compliance teams to ensure directory services meet regulatory requirements. - Elevate operational maturity, mentor other SREs, and focus on continual improvement in the tolling landscape. Required Qualifications: - 7+ years of hands-on experience in SRE, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering roles. - Hands-on experience with SaaS platforms like Vault, JSM, Statuspage, Sectigo, or similar solutions is advantageous. - Proficiency in automation frameworks and scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Go. - Good understanding of OpenLDAP, including schema design, ACLs, and replication. - Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. - Experience with RBAC, ABAC models, identity federation, PKI, and certificate lifecycle management. - Strong exposure to source code management software, API automation, and incident management frameworks. - Service availability-oriented mindset with proactive problem-solving approach. - Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. - Analytical and logical approach to problem-solving with a focus on automation and reducing manual workload. - Strong experience in administration and build management of Linux systems; related certification is a plus.
