About the role
As a member of the Ford's EU Order to delivery product group, your role is crucial in providing a platform for order management for European and IMG dealers. Here's a brief overview of your responsibilities and qualifications: Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing and delivering industry-leading products and services to maximize value for customers. Additionally, you will provide techo-functional product leadership to the team. Key Responsibilities: - Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, maintaining a balance between business viability, user desirability, and technical feasibility. - Translate high-level business visions into actionable, prioritized backlogs and lead scoping sessions to break down complex roadmaps. - Champion and lead "Software Engineering Excellence" practices, including robust CI/CD processes and modern technology stacks. - Drive product discovery through experiments, user interviews, and data insights to ensure technical development meets validated user needs. - Collaborate with architects and other Product Line managers to reduce system complexity and enhance interoperability. - Lead release management and maintain release cadence in accordance with S-ox compliance. - Work hands-on with cross-functional teams to plan and deliver software that meets functional requirements. - Actively identify, communicate, and mitigate technical and functional risks to maintain high velocity. - Continuously monitor the overall health of the product and prompt key decisions for improvement. - Foster a culture of continuous learning by mentoring team members and iterating on processes. Qualifications: - 10+ years of overall experience - 5+ years of product management expertise in agile software development - 5+ years of domain knowledge in Supply Chain, Order Management, or Dealer Experience - Certification relevant to product management or software engineering - Leadership experience in creating a psychologically safe team environment - Proven ability to define product vision, strategy, and roadmap - Expertise leading large scale transformations and systems thinking - Strong communication skills - Experience in monitoring activities and tools - Ability to manage complex integrations and dependencies - Strong understanding of Load/Performance testing and A/B testing methodologies - Experience in service-oriented architecture and API/Microservices development - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field Additional Details: - Exposure on Oracle, PLSQL, Java Modernization experience, and Database modernization - Familiarity with serverless computing, event-driven architecture, and infrastructure as code tools - Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Tekton CI/CD deployment pipeline automation, Postgres SQL, MS SQL, and Dynatrace or Google Cloud Monitoring - Understanding of network security principles and emerging technologies - Experience in the automotive industry or related technology fields This role offers the opportunity to lead product development, drive technical innovation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions in the order management space.
