About the role
Calibration Technician – ECAL Team
As a Calibration Technician on the ECAL Team, you will perform calibrations on new production instruments, recalibrate customer instruments, and maintain the calibration of all measurement and test equipment (M&TE) using internal and external calibration services. You will follow and support the ISO 17025 Quality Standard while ensuring accuracy, reliability, and compliance across all calibration and manufacturing activities.
In this role, you will also install, modify, relocate, calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and dismantle machinery and equipment used in the manufacturing process. All work is performed in accordance with established documentation (e.g., SOPs), layout plans, blueprints, and technical drawings. You may support equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers.
Key Responsibilities
Perform calibrations and adjustments on electrical instruments
Maintain primary and secondary calibration standards according to established schedules
Ensure all M&TE is calibrated and compliant with quality and regulatory requirements
Collect data, document results, and generate calibration certificates
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and systems
Train and support technicians in calibration standards, tools, and procedures
Work from SOPs, schematics, and technical drawings to complete tasks accurately
Support production demands, including overtime and weekend work as needed
Qualifications

Typically requires 0–2 years of related experience or equivalent vocational training

Strong soldering skills

Ability to troubleshoot printed circuit assemblies to the component level

Proficiency with oscilloscopes and digital multimeters

Required: Experience calibrating and troubleshooting RF (radio frequency) equipment

Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills

Good written and verbal communication skills

External certification may be required; a university degree is typically not required

This role does not have formal supervisory responsibility but may include mentoring, coaching, and assisting less experienced staff
