CAD Designer

Position Overview: CAD Designers use technology to help generate designs for complex projects. These designs may be used to create 2D images, a process known as surface modelling or 3D images or solid modeling. CAD designers must have strong computer skills and extensive knowledge of design software. Key Accountability Study, design and prepare jewellery themes and collections using sketches and technically sound drawings. Review and correct the proposed designs for technical accuracy from the first prototype/picture to end Identify with expertise and creativity, the new designs and concepts in accordance with Brand aesthetic along with target cost points. Close observation, research and forecast of latest trends in international and domestic jewellery markets for jewellery designs, material especially gemstone product line. Attain a strong color, texture, and trend sense to interpret jewellery concepts. Developing state-of-art designs using the current gemstone inventory. Key Requirements Basic Knowledge of gemstone, its colors and hues, inclusion in order to develop optimal designs for the same. Ability to draw with correct proportions, perspective, rending, Jewellery styling, Photography, jewellery illustration, layout, and documentation techniques. Working knowledge of Corel Draw, Adobe Photoshop, Auto- CAD, Rhinoceros, MS Office, Matrix, or any other rendering software. Understanding of basic mix and match of Gemstones, diamonds, and metal colors from aesthetic and cost point of view. Educational Qualification: Bachelor s degree from tier 1 college.
