A leading Aerospace & Defence Electronics organization in Chennai is looking for an experienced Lead SDG to join its Radar Application Development team and contribute to the design and development of next-generation radar technologies. Primary Responsibilities: Responsible for planning, designing, developing and testing BSP, Uboot software systems or applications for software enhancements on new and existing products. You will be resolving customer complaints with software and responds to software modifications Key Responsibilities: 1. Algorithm Development: Design and implement real-time radar algorithms including Pulse Compression, Moving Target Indicator (MTI), Pulse Doppler Processing, and CFAR (Constant False Alarm Rate) detection. 2. Modeling & Simulation: Develop high-fidelity radar system models in MATLAB/Simulink or Python to evaluate performance metrics like Pd (Probability of Detection) and Pfa (Probability of False Alarm). 3. Implementation: Port validated algorithms onto hardware platforms using FPGAs (Xilinx/Altera) or high-performance DSPs. 4. Collaborate with firmware teams for VHDL/Verilog implementation. 5. Clutter & Interference Management: Develop advanced techniques for clutter suppression, jammer cancellation (ECCM), and side-lobe reduction. 6. System Integration: Support the integration of signal processing software with RF front-ends and back-end data processors. Technical Skills & Competencies: Category Requirements 1. Radar Fundamentals Deep understanding of Pulsed Doppler, FMCW, Phased Array, and SAR architectures. 2. Digital Signal Processing Expertise in FFTs, Digital Filtering (FIR/IIR), Adaptive Filtering, and Multirate DSP. 3. Tools Proficiency in MATLAB (Signal Processing & Radar Toolboxes) and C/C++. 4. Hardware Awareness Familiarity with ADC/DAC interfaces, high-speed SerDes, and FPGA-based DSP slices. 5. Advanced Topics Experience with Micro-Doppler analysis, Angle of Arrival (AoA) estimation, or Beamforming is a plus.
