About the role
As a mechanical engineer in Prepared Food and Plant-Based engineering, you will belong to a team of Process, Automation, and Mechanical engineers, delivering processing solutions to customers. You will collaborate closely with R&D, Supply Chain management, production, and sales teams, while also being part of a global network. - Be responsible for the mechanical and piping design in customer orders throughout the entire order process. - Create 3D process piping design, skid design, and modelling using Autodesk Inventor software. - Generate 2D drawings required for manufacturing. - Prepare pipes and fitting lists for Bill of Materials (BOM) for purchasing and manufacturing purposes. - Extract Frame and pipe & fittings BOM for costing submission during planning meetings. - Assist workshop assemblers with any queries that may arise. - Provide quick layout suggestions for Sales support estimates. - Engage with Mechanical Design Owners in Sweden to stay informed about the latest changes and provide feedback for template updates and future improvements. - Collaborate with component suppliers in development projects. - Design Local modules independently (Pasteurizers, TPCIP, Sterilizers, etc). - Design Branded Processing units including Heating Prepared food and plant-based, dairy, Bev orders, and Aseptic Tanks orders. - Create 2D detailed drawings for Tanks and Vessels. - Communicate effectively with Production, Quality, Supply management team, and engineering teams as necessary. - Provide engineering support to other sites on orders. - Conduct FEA and frame analysis. - Work on issue resolution, audits, WCM activities, and other tools in the process area. Preferred candidate profile: - 6-12 years of working experience. - Associates with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. - Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor or any 3D piping design software, AutoCAD (2D&3D), and MS Office. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Strong written and oral communication skills. - Service-oriented mindset. - Excellent multitasking abilities even in stressful situations. - Experience in hygienic piping design, Skid design, Process piping, food manufacturing Practices, and Process piping. - Familiarity with standards/code selections such as ASME, SMS, 3A, DIN. - Experience in tanks and vessel design.
