About the role
In this role as a Senior Consultant at Fractal, you will be part of a high-performance analytics team that focuses on a mix of Advanced Business Intelligence and Data Engineering & Exploratory Analytics. Your responsibilities will include: - Strategic Visualization: Leading the end-to-end lifecycle of complex dashboard suites, ensuring visualizations provide intuitive answers to critical product questions. - Pipeline & Logic Stewardship: Managing and editing data pipelines to support reporting needs, proactively identifying and resolving upstream data issues. - Proactive Analysis: Conducting deep-dive Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify product trends, going beyond immediate requests to uncover the "why" behind the data. - Agile Partnership: Working within two-week sprints, contributing to project planning and estimation, providing technical push-back and alternative solutions for better performance or clarity. - Analytical Integrity: Owning the validation of your work, implementing rigorous QA processes to ensure data consistency across multiple platforms and stakeholders. You should possess the following core competencies: - Advanced SQL: Expert-level query optimization and the ability to navigate large-scale, decentralized data environments. - BI Architecture: Mastery of tools like Tableau, Looker, or Power BI, focusing on scalable design and user-centric interactivity. - Data Engineering: Proficiency in editing ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., dbt, Airflow, SQL-based transformations) to ensure data readiness. - Technical Intuition: Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into precise technical specifications. - Communication: High-fidelity English communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical trade-offs to US-based stakeholders. Qualifications required for this role include: - 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics, BI, or Data Consulting role. - Proven track record of supporting US-based clients or global product teams from an offshore environment. - Bachelors or Masters degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Statistics, or Computer Science).
