About the role
Role Overview: At Franklin Templeton, you will be part of the Global Information Security (GIS) Governance, Risk & Compliance team, which focuses on managing cybersecurity risk, regulatory compliance, and third-party security. You will collaborate with legal, business, and technology leaders to ensure secure operations across global markets. Your role will involve assessing vendors against security policies, interpreting data security addendum requirements, monitoring global cybersecurity regulations, and proposing controls to address emerging threats. Key Responsibilities: - Assess vendors against security policies and standards. - Identify risks and recommend remediation actions. - Engage vendor IT and cybersecurity leaders. - Report progress to business stakeholders. - Interpret Data Security Addendum requirements. - Review and assess third-party contract changes. - Define acceptable and unacceptable modifications. - Propose alternative contract language. - Collaborate with security, legal, and business leaders. - Negotiate contract security terms with vendors. - Update standards based on risks and regulations. - Monitor global cybersecurity regulations. - Map regulations to internal security frameworks. - Identify gaps and recommend updates. - Communicate findings to leadership. - Track emerging threats and risks. - Propose controls to address new threats. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years in cybersecurity, contracts, or risk management. - Experience in global financial services environments. - Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. - Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM. - Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and controls. - Experience with NIST, ISO, and regulatory standards. - Skilled in third-party risk assessments and SIG questionnaires. - Familiar with SOC reports and certifications review. - Experience with governance, risk, and compliance platforms. - Proficient in Microsoft collaboration tools.
